At Burwood East Primary School, we provide a range of activities to support each child and their family through the transition to school.
Students will meet current teachers and will explore the Foundation classrooms. They will also engage in activities from our Specialist program such as Visual Art, Performing Art, Physical Education, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and Languages.
Transition Program for Foundation 2021
Transition Session Wednesday 9th September
Starting Foundation is an exciting time for children and their families. In their first year of school, students learn through teaching interactions, exploration, practise and play in the classroom and school community. They develop their understanding of school life, establishing positive learning behaviours and routines. Our school vision ‘Learn. Create. Inspire.’ nurtures a love of learning that prepares students to become lifelong learners.
Due to COVID-19, we have made some changes to our Transition Programme. On Wednesday 9th of September, we invite our kindergarten students and their families to attend an online Story time with our Foundation teachers. The session will start at 10:30am.
